It’s only my second blog and I’m already asking myself, “what have you done?”

But I can’t not do this for the next year. I have to. I need to be capable of challenging myself to new things that might take some extra work. I mean, if I can’t do this ONCE a week for a year, what determination do I have?

Today, I’m going to be boring. I’m going to do what we all do. Time for a gratitude list! Here’s 20 things I’m grateful for TODAY:

  1. Having our windows open today because the weather is FINALLY nice.
  2. My mom checking in on me every day.
  3. My husband putting our baby to sleep every night.
  4. Mya (our dog) for snuggling with me today when I needed it. She’s not a licensed therapy dog, but she knows.
  5. Being in a stable relationship.
  6. My beautiful son being a healthy 4-month-old baby.
  7. Harry Potter Ambience on YouTube.
  8. Standing fans. I love a breeze.
  9. Having a scented candle lit all day.
  10. Technology that makes it so I’m able to stay in touch with my husband when he’s at work.
  11. The Office Superfan episodes.
  12. Not having to leave the house for any reason today.
  13. Being a stay-at-home mom for the foreseeable future. It’s honestly all I’ve ever wanted.
  14. Energy drinks. I know they aren’t the healthiest, but they make me happy.
  15. Spicy ranch. Real good on a sandwich.
  16. Sour candy. I literally eat some every day. No, I’m not exaggerating.
  17. High school friends. I’ve been finding myself reminiscing more and more on those days. It feels unreal how long its been.
  18. That it’s August 1st. Fall is coming.
  19. Baby giggles.
  20. Ripe peaches.

This was something I actually used to try to do every day. But guess what? I couldn’t stick to it. Big surprise there.

So unfortunately, when I’m desperate and can’t think of anything to say that means there’s probably going to be a gratitude list coming. But hey, at least I’m writing something.
